Prisha Seva Trust, Manipal-Udupi, organized a half day workshop on the topics “Success - How to Set and Achieve Goals” and “What after 10th - Career Options”, on 18th January, 2020 at Rotary English Medium High School, Kinnigoly for the students of Class 10. JCI National Trainer Rajesh Shenoy and Nagaraja Kateel were the resource persons.
Rajesh Shenoy spoke about importance of Goal setting to achieve the desired results in studies as well as in life was extensively explained to the students through visual presentations and fun activities to make the learning process easier and more effective. Speaker also spoke about time management on daily basis and during exams, visualization of concepts and note taking methods. Rajesh concluded that proper planning, execution by students and guidance from teachers would lead towards better scores in exams.
Nagaraj spoke about options and careers available under Arts, Commerce and Science streams, ITI and Diploma courses were presented to students. Also, careers in army, navy, air force, as well as state and central government job opportunities were the topics covered by Nagaraja Kateel. Nagaraj in his presentation listed eminent personalities and their achievements to educate and motivate the students.
Secretary of school management committee Rot. Sathishchandra Hegde, President of Rotary Club Kinnigoly Rot. Michal Pinto, School Headmistress Sunitha G, President of the Trust D V Shettigar, Treasurer Vasudha Devi and Secretary Nagaraj Kateel were present on this occasion. Secretary of school Sathishchandra Hegde in his concluding remarks opined that such workshops are essential for the students of rural area and gives a better exposure to students both in terms of studies and career options. About 70 students of the school and 30 parents were the beneficiaries of these workshops. Headmistress Sunitha welcomed the gathering. The program commenced with a short prayer from students and was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by distinguished guests.

ಪ್ರಶಾ ಸೇವಾ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್, ಮಣಿಪಾಲ-ಉಡುಪಿಯು " ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಗುರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ಸೂತ್ರಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ವೃತ್ತಿಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು, " ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರವನ್ನು ರೋಟರಿ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರೌಢ ಶಾಲೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಜನವರಿ 18ರಂದು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಜೆಸಿಐ ತರಬೇತುದಾರ ರಾಜೇಶ್ ಶೆಣೈ ಮತ್ತು ಮಣಿಪಾಲದ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ನಾಗರಾಜ ಕಟೀಲು ಇವರು ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
ರಾಜೇಶ್ ಶೆಣೈ ತಮ್ಮ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಸರಿಯಾದ ಗುರಿ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಎಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಆಟದ ವಿಧಾನಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ದೈನಂದಿನ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮತ್ತು ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆ, ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಟಿಪ್ಪಣಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ವಿಧಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ರಾಜೇಶ್ರವರು ಸರಿಯಾದ ಯೋಜನೆ, ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವು ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಅಂಕ ಗಳಿಸಲು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆಯೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ತಮ್ಮ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಾ, ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ವೃತ್ತಿಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಆಯಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಾಧಕರ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಯ ಸಮೇತ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದ ಕನಸು, ಬೌದ್ಧಿಕ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆಸಕ್ತಿಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದಲ್ಲಿ ವೃತ್ತಿಜೀವನ ಸಂತೋಷ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೃಪ್ತಿಯಿಂದಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಈ ಅರ್ಧ ದಿನದ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ೧೦ನೆಯ ತರಗತಿಯ ಸುಮಾರು 70 ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮತ್ತು 35 ಪಾಲಕರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸದುಪಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಲಾ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ರೊ ಸತೀಶ್ಚಂದ್ರ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ, ಕಿನ್ನಿಗೋಳಿಯ ರೋಟರಿ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ರೋ. ಮೈಕಲ್ ಪಿಂಟೋ, ಮುಖ್ಯೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯಿನಿ ಸುನಿತಾ, ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಿ ವಿ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಗಾರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಖಜಾಂಚಿ ವಸುಧಾ ದೇವಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರವು ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ಶಾಲಾ ಮುಖ್ಯೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯಿನಿ ವಂದಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಇಂತಹ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರಗಳು ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉಜ್ವಲ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಲು ಅತ್ಯಗತ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು
